- Morgan Schneiderlin,Manchester United : The french international had a successful season with Southampton,playing 253 games and scoring 15 goals for the saints.The 25 year old midfeilder signed a four year deal recently for the red devils and have already featured in a game for them.
- Roberto Firmino,Liverpool: Liverpool, after loosing luis Suarez have struggled to replace him with the like of Ballotelli all coming to the team but still haven’t got a solution to their striking woes, with sturridge injured liverpool have yet again acquire the services of Brazilian player Roberto Firmino who can both as a striker and an attacking midfeilder.The Brazilian signed from German side Hoffenheim, where he played 151 games and scored 47 goals for a fee of 29m pounds.
Matteo Darmain,Manchester United: Even though it beat Tottenham 1-0 to open the season, Manchester United wasn’t exactly in top form. But one player who did seem to stand out was Italian fullback Darmian, who moved to Old Trafford from Torino. Even manager Louis Van Gaal was impressed with Darmian’s debut, saying, “When I have to think of one player, it’s him, as he was the best performer.”
Darmian was as steady as they come in his debut at rightback, making three tackles and five clearances while drawing the Spurs offside once. He shined on offense as well, completing a total of 36 passes at a rate of 86.1 percent. There was nothing particularly flashy about his display on Saturday, but Darmian performed his duties with aplomb. The performance was good enough that Manchester United supporters can now feel confident that they have rightback sorted for the
Reece Oxford, West Ham Not yet 17 years old, Oxford is the second youngest player to ever play in a Premier League match, a wildly impressive feat by itself. What’s even more impressive is that Oxford had the look of a seasoned pro.
Standing at 6-foot-3, Oxford is a naturally gifted physical presence. The West Ham academy graduate has trained most of his career as a centerback, but was deployed as a defensive midfielder on Sunday. His quickness and passing skill make him a viable player in either position. Oxford passed the ball 19 times at a 94.7 percent completion rate against the Gunners on top of three tackles, two interceptions and two blocked shots. With Oxford’s level of skill and defensive ability, West Ham has options for where to play him in the long run.
- Georginio Wijnaldum: With a new manager and new approach, Newcastle United is looking to shake up its Premier League standing this season, and one player who could help do that is the Dutch attacking midfielder Wijnaldum, who scored in his debut to help the Magpies secure a 2-2 draw with Southampton.
