Ghana Battle England for Young Striker

GHANA Football Association (GFA) are in a battle with England for the Nationality switch of Leicester city young striker Joe Dodoo.

The 20 year old played his debut game for Leicester city on the 25 of August, 2015 against bury beating them 4-1 in the second round of the league cup where he scored a hat trick and assisted Andrej Kramaric 4th goal.

Dodoo, who have previously featured for the England u18′ has since become an integral part of coach Claudio Raneiri’s side and also expected to get a call up into the England u21 side in their next call up.

But the daily mail news paper in England are reporting that the GFA are in serious talk with the youngster to switch his nationally and play for Ghana ahead of the Three Lions.

Ghana have previously missed out on a lot of players in the past with the likes of Jerome Boateng, Danny Welbeck, Memphis Depay and Mario Ballotelli all opting to play for other countries and are not looking to loose out on Dodoo.

The Striker who also double as a winger was born in Kumasi but was taken to England at the age of 8 by grandmother to seek greener pastures.
