Black Queens Still At M- Plaza Hotel

Management of the M- Plaza hotel, here in Accra has denied media reports that they have sacked the black Queens from their hotel.

The Queens are still lodging at the hotel after returning from the All African Games in Congo Brazzaville where they won Fold after beating their Cameroonian counterparts by 1-0 in the final of the women football match.

Assistant Administrative officer, of the hotel Mrs. Leticia Sackey Addo confirmed to SportsfileGhana that they received a letter from the Ministry of youth and Sports last Friday to sack the ladies from their hotel.

“Even though we have received a letter from the Ministry of sports to get the Queens out of our hotel we still have not done that since it does not speak well of us and our country as a whole” she stated.

Mrs Addo added that, the ladies are being well taken care of contrary to rumors they being denied certain basic amenities.

She bemoaned the current state of the Queens and called on the sector Ministry to give them whatever is due them.

She also pleaded that the ladies should be treated equally as their male counterparts describing the situation as frustrating.
