Former Accra Hearts of Oak striker Mahatma Otoo, was on the score sheet once again to help FC Sogndal in boosting their chances of gaining qualification back into the Norwegian league.
The Ghanaian striker showed his predatory instinct by scoring two goals to help thrash Honofoss fc by 5-2 in the Norwegian Tropeligaen league.
Otoo, restored the lead for Sogndal in 42nd minutes after Honefoss player krutim Fratrati has equalized Babacarr Starr’s 18th minute strike.
Sogndal came into the second half with more pressure which made Sigurd Svedson, to score an own goal to put the visitors up with 3 goals to 1.
Kristian Opseth, added to the woes of the home team when Kristian Opseth added the fourth goal in the 80th minute before Otoo, sealed the win in the 82nd minutes when he scored his second goal of the day.
Abdoulaye Seck’s scored a second consolation goal for the home side to bring the final score to 5-2 in the 87th minute.
With just two game to spare, Sogndal stand a chance of gaining promotion back into top flight football since they lead second place side Brann FC with four points and third place side with ten points.
