Deputy Ghana Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew, has make the final 3-man shortlist for next year’s Confederations of African Football (CAF) African best player award.
The 25 year old Swansea city winger is the only Ghanaian in the the list after his Black star team mate Christian Atsu, who was adjudge the best player at the AFCON was axed from the initial 37 man list.
The former Marseille, player who lost the BBC African player award to Manchester city and Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure, not long ago will have to again beat off competition from the “Elephants” skipper and Gabonese striker Piere Emerick Aubameyang for the prestigious award.
This is the second time Ayew, has make the 3- man list after he lost out on the award to Yaya Toure, in 2011 here in Ghana
The awards ceremony will be held in Abuja, Nigeria on the 7th of January, 2016.
