Gabonese skipper Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has been voted CAF African footballer of the year in an event held at the International Conference Center in Abuja Nigeria.
The Dortmund forward beat four time winner Yaya Toure who came second this time and Ghana’s Andre Ayew to take the prestigious award.
Aubameyang has been in top form for his club in the German Bundesliga scoring 27 goals in all competitions this season.
This years show saw some electrifying performance from Ghana’s self acclaimed Dancehall king Shatta Wale, D’ banj and other well know musicians from Africa.
On the Tp Mazembe and Tanzanian striker Mbwana Samatha was crowned the Footballer based in Africa after putting up a blistering perf performance to help the Congolese side win their fifth African Champions league.
