Head coach of Ghana’s sole representatives in the CAF Confederations Cup Evans Adotey, has revealed that he is not scared of any of the three teams in their group.
Medeama who represents Ghana in the ongoing CAF competition has been drawn in group A with the likes of TP Mazembe of Congo, Club Africans of Tanzania and Algerian side MO Bejaia after eliminating South African side Mamoledi Sundowns in the last round of the qualifier at the Essipong stadium in Takoradi.
The Tarkwa – based club have targeted the trophy after making the group stage cut for the first time after missing making the group stage some years ago.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM, Coach Evans Adotey stated categorically that even though he has respect for his three opponents in the group, their pedigree do not scare him as a coach and his team as well.
” Honestly speaking, all the three clubs does not scare me as a coach, We are battle ready for any team that come our way”.
“We are aware of their perdegree. We can’t take anything away from them but trust me this is only on paper we have players who can equally match them boot to boot”.
Medeama will begin their campaign with a game against TP Mazembe in Congo before hosting MO Bejaia at home on June 28 and Club African on July 15.
