Spanish striker Diego Costa could be his way to Italy as replacement for either Gonzalo Higuain or Mauro Icardi
The former Athletico Madrid star has been offered to Napoli and Inter Milan, according to reports in Italy.
Atletico Madrid have already ruled out re-signing the Spaniard, but there is speculation that agent Jorge Mendes is bidding to get the Chelsea centre forward a move elsewhere.
Chelsea themselves are thought to be chasing their former striker Romelu Lukaku
and will need to make room for Everton’s 23-year-old and Napoli are believed to be leading the race for Costa.
They have bought Arkadiusz Milik from Ajax, but the Polish star is only 22 and hasn’t quite developed into an outright match-winner just yet
Diego Costa, 27, would be an excellent addition to their squad and he would further aid Milik’s progression.
But the Naples side are also keen on bringing in Inter captain Mauro Icardi and so Diego Costa could maybe go there as Icardi’s replacement.
