Yahaya Mohammed and Bright Agyei gave Aduana Stars a life line in this year’s Caf Confederations Cup after scoring one each to help their side record a 2-0 win over Congolese side AS Vita club on Wednesday afternoon.
Bright Agyei shot the “Ogya” lads in front in the early minutes of the game before his strike partner Yahaya Mohammed headed home the second goal of the after after connecting with a cross from the right side of their attack.
As determined as they are, AS Vita pulled one goal back before the end of the first half after goalkeeper Joseph Addo failed to deal with a free kick from Muzinda Ngonda ending the first half 2-1 in favor of Aduana.
The second session begun with the travelers dictating the greater part of the game as they look for the equalizer but the tired looking Ghanaian players stood on their grounds to prevent their opponents from causing any havoc.
This results means Aduana led by Japanesse trainer Kenichi Yatsuhashi have recored their first-ever victory in the group stage of any Caf organized competition.
