Two goals from Joseph Esso and Kojo Obeng in the second half handed Accra Hearts of Oak a 2-0 victory over Liberty Professionals at the Karl Reindoff Park on Sunday.
Kojo Obeng shot Hearts in the lead in the 55th minute before striker Joseph Esso added the second 19 minutes later.
Hearts started the game on high from the get-go as they created some decent opportunities but were unlucky as their efforts failed to result in a goal ending the second half on a barren draw.
The second half started with the Phobians putting a lot of pressure on the scientific soccer lads with the aim of getting a goal.
Their efforts yielded fruit when they got the opener through Kojo Obeng Junior after going past Liberty’s Prosper Avor before firing into the top corner.
Joseph Esso sealed the win when he blasted a Daniel Kodie’s cross into the net after a fine control of the ball.
This win means Hearts have now won two games in a roll in their routine friendlies after beating Bechem United earlier.
