Jeffrey Schlupp scored his first competitive goal for Crystal Palaces to give his side a needed win over the newly promoted side Fulham and the player can’t keep his joy.
Explaining how excited he was, the Ghanaian defender said his celebration after the goal says how he felt to get his name on the score sheet after waiting for a long time.
“You could see how much it meant to me with the celebration and what a time to do it, I have waited a long time and enjoyed that one,”
“Patrick and I have a great understanding down that left hand side, the moment he got the ball there was a bit of eye contact for me to show him where I wanted the pass and he played it perfectly and I just had to concentrate on hitting the target, it went in so I am happy.” he said.
Schlupp was impressed with the opponents and knows that him breaking the deadlock was a crucial point in the game turning Palace’s way.
