Ghanaian Boxer Richard Commey will face Isa Chaniev for the now-vacant IBF Light weight title.
Commey, was initially arranged to face Mikey Garcia but the announcement from Garcia’s camp that he would be facing Errol Spence for the IBF Welterweight title, Commey has now switched attention to the Russian.
Commey and Chaniev are ranked 1 and 3 respectively by the IBF and a date for their clash is expected to be made soon.
The 31 year old Commey, is 3-0 since losing back-to-back split decisions to Robert Easter Jr. and Denis Shafikov.
Whiles his opponent Chaniev, 25, is also a 3-0 since losing a unanimous decision to fellow Russian Fedor Papazov (21-2, 12 KOs) in their 12-rounder 17 months ago.
