Ghana Black Maidens put up a very blistering performance to beat host country Uruguay by 0-5 in their opening game of the 2018 Women U17 World Cup on Tuesday evening.
Goals from skiper Mukarama Abulai, Fuseina Mumuni and Millot Pokuaa was enough for the Ghanaian to destroy the South American side at their own backyard.
Fusiena Mumuni opened the scoring in the 20th minute before skipper Mukarama Abdulai added the second of the for the Maidens five minutes later.
Back from recess, the Black Maidens continued to ask goal scoring questions in the half of the Uruguay box all with the aim of increase the goal.
Thankfully the Maidens efforts yielded fruit 66th minute when substitute Millot Pokuaa found the back of the net with a fine finish.
Twelve minutes later, the skipper of Ghana Abdulai was at it again when he scored Ghana’s fourth goal and her second of the day.
Mukarama completed her hat trick when she scored in the 90th minute to make it five for Ghana.
This results leave the Black Maidens on top of group A on goal difference and will be hoping to repeat th same feat when they host Finland in their next game.
