Sports Ministry commends women football trio on their Nomination
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has commended Ghanaian women football trio Mukarama Abdulai, Portia Boakye and Elizabeth Addo on their nomination for the Women’s African player of the year award.
The trio are among a host of African Women footballers who have been shortlisted for this year’s Women’s African player of the year which comes off in Senegal in January.
In a post on their official twitter handle, the Ministry of  youth and Sports commended the trio for their achievement for the country and themselves.

We also commend our women’s trio; captain of the current Black Maidens, Mukarama Abdulai, Black Queens captain and midfielder Portia Boakye for being nominated for Women’s African Player of the Year 2018 award. This is huge for our women’s football.

The women football trio made of current skipper of the Black Queens Elizabeth Addo, Midfielder Portia Boakye and skipper for the Black Maidens Mukarama Abdulai will have a tough test to win this award as they are nominated among top women footballers in Africa.
