Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Dauda Mohammed has charged his former teammates to work hard to achieve continental glory for the club in the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup competition.
Dauda Mohammed urged the players to work extra hard in order to win this year’s CAF Inter Club competition to make the club and themselves proud.
“I wish them good luck, but will entreat them to work very hard since that is the only way they can achieve something from the competition”, said the 20-year-old, who just signed a loan deal with Dutch Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem from Belgian top-flight side Anderlecht.
“The players must be focused and organised. The experienced players must guide the new ones. With the quality we have and the kind of management we have now, I believe we can make the final.”
“Moreover, I am sure Dr. Kwame Kyei and his staff are also working hard to make the players feel comfortable and relaxed to enable them to play their hearts out,” he concluded.
The Porcupines are in Group C with Sudanese side, Al Hilal, and Zambian duo, Zesco United and Nkana FC, and Dauda insists the players must work hard to achieve something for themselves and the club.
Kotoko begin their CAF Confederation Cup journey with a game against Sudanese side Al Hilal on Sunday.
