Kotoko bounce back to victory as Reds beat Nkana FC in Kumasi

Kumasi Asante Kotoko returned to victory following a 3-0 victory over Zambian giants Nkana FC on Sunday.

The matched played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium saw the Porcupine Warriors score 3 goals in the first have to give them the much needed win.

Coach C K Akunnor’s side showed they wanted to win right from the blast of the referees whistle when striker Abdul Fatawu shot the Reds in front in the 4th minute through a neatly converted free kick.

Winger Emmanuel Gyamfi added the second in the 22nd minutes before winger Martin Antwi sealed the win with another free kick six minutes later.

The results has now lifted the Porcupine Warriors to the second position with six points a point adrift Al Hilal who leads the table with 7 points after four games.

The Reds will face Al Hilal in their next group game in Kumasi as they seek to qualify for the next round of the competition.
