WAFA goalkeeper Razak Abalora’s 77th minute goal was enough to hand the Black Stars B side a 2 – 1 win over Gambia in a friendly game played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday morning.
Hearts of Oak skipper Thomas Abbey put the Ghanaian side in front six minutes into the second have but the Gambians leveled in the 74th minute Lamin Jallow.
Coach Maxwell Konadu made several changes to the team in search of the winner by bringing on Stephen Sarfo, Emmanuel Lomotey and Majeed Ashimeru.
The change yielded good fruit when the Black Stars got the second goal minutes after the equalizer through a spot kick which was nicely converted by WAFA goalkeeper Razak Abalora.
Ghana has recorded their first win after sharing spoils with Benin in their first friendly game at the the same venue.
