Ghanaian legend Abedi Ayew Pele have sent a solidarity message to victims of the Kotoko bus accident at Nkawkaw last Wednesday.
Players and Officials of Kotoko were involved in an accident when the team was returning from Accra to Kumasi after a league match against Inter Allies when their bus run into a stationary vehicle on the Nkawkaw stretch of the Accra-Kumasi Highway killing one and injuring many.
The team has since receive encouragement messages from sympathizers with the latest being former Black Stars captain, Abedi Ayew and his club Nania FC who dispatched a letter to Kotoko secretariat on Monday.
“We have learnt with deep sorrow the tragic accident involving Kumasi Asante Kotoko on their way back to Kumasi following their 22nd Premier League match against Inter Allies” said the letter signed by Abedi Pele.
“In this moment of grief, the Board and Management of Nania FC, wish to express our sincere compassion and solidarity with all those affected by this unfortunate occurrence, especially the family of the late Thomas Obeng Asare. We also wish those injured speedy recovery. May the almighty Allah strengthen us to overcome this tragedy”
