Former Bechem United striker Abednego Tetteh has tipped either Aduana Stars or Kumasi Asante Kotoko to win the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League (GPL) title.
Tetteh left the Brong Ahafo-based club after an impressive 2015/16 Premier League season that gained him a national team call-up before signing the dotted lines for Sudanese side Al-Hilal Omdurman.
The 26-year-old forward, in an interview with Class Sports, admitted he still follows the development of his former side’s participation in the GPL.
“I don’t think they (Bechem United) can win the league…” he answered when quizzed on who his choice of league champion will be.
He added: “My colleagues, from our conversation previously, are satisfied with their league start and position thus far. I see Kotoko and Aduana Stars battling for the title; should Bechem finish in third place, that will be a good season, although my wish is for them to annex the crown.”
Bechem United sit third on the league log after eight games.
