When the second round of the 2016/17 Premier League commences on May 28, 2017; three players won’t be part of Kotoko’s setup. They’ve been loaned to two Premier League clubs till the end of the season.
The trio are center back, Abeiku Ainooson who is on his way to regional rivals Ashgold left – back Emmanuel Asante and striker, Kwame Boateng who are both off to Great Olympics.
Accra Representative and Premier League Board (PLB) member, Thomas Boakye Agyeman confirmed this to Asantekotokosc.com in an interview late Monday evening.
“In my hands are their cards which are releasing to the respective clubs; Abeiku Ainooson for Ashgold; Kwame Boateng and Emmanuel Asante for Olympics” said the Management member.
With three players out, three more have been recruited. They are striker, Richard Arthur from Wa All Stars; right back, Augustine Sefa formerly of Ashgold and Collins Ameyaw from Berekum Chelsea. The signings are part of efforts to fortify the team ahead of the league’s second round.
