Asante Kotoko taste first defeat in Tarkwa

Medeama fought back from a goal down to beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko by 2-1 at the T and A park in Tarkwa.

Defender Ahmed Adams shot the Porcupines in front 30 minutes into the first half after he connected with a Micheal Akuffu’s corner to end the first in their favor.

The Tarkwa based came back stronger into the second half and score two goals all from the spot to hand the Kumasi based side their second defeat of the season.

Elsewhere at the Accra Sports Stadium, Thomas Abbey, Cosmos Dauda, Richard Akrofi and Fatau Mohammed were all on the score sheet as Hearts triumph over Bechem United.

At the Karl Reindof park in Dansoman, the game between Liberty professionals and Aduana Stars ended in 1-1 stalemate.Skipper Samuel Sarfo scored for the scientific soccer lads before Bright Agyei leveled for the Dormaa based side.

Ashgold woes continued after they suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of WAFA at the Sogakope Park. Gideon Waja, Prince Ampem and Daniel Lomotey were the goal scorers.

Nicholas Gyan  and Joseph Paintsil scored for Ebusua Dwarfs and Tema Youth respectively as the two teams shared spoils at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Emmanuel Anaba’s lone goal for Bolga All Stars was enough as they defeated visiting Elmina Sharks at the Tamale Utrecht Academy Park.

At the El Wak Stadium in Accra, Berekum Chelsea held Inter Allies to a 1-1 draw.
