Ghana Black Sharks suffered a heavy defeat as they kick start their 2016 Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations campaign by losing 5-0 to Ivory Coast on Tuesday.
The Black Sharks had high hopes going into the game but could not stand the fire the Ivorians posses.
The Ghanaian side must beat Egypt in their next match on Wednesday in order to make it out of their group which also has host nation Nigeria.
The two top teams in the group will advance to the semi-final stage of the tournament, which is scheduled to end on Sunday.
The winner and runner-up of the tournament will represent the continent at the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Bahamas.
