The medical team has played down injury concerns concerning Saddick Adams and Isaac Quansah after the pair was forced out of the team’ 2-1 win over NEA Salamina on Wednesday. Sadick Adams put Kotoko ahead in the MTN FA Cup quarterfinal match but he was substituted in the 50th minute after suffering what appeared to be a hamstring injury. Midfielder, Isaac Quansah who was enjoying his first start in a long while was also replaced following a knock on his left knee. Former Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has ended his contract with Spanish club Las Palmas by mutual consent. The former Portsmouth player is now without after leaving the Spanish side. Las Palmas cited "irreversible personal reasons" for the decision. The 30-year-old had a contract with La Liga side until 2020 after signing for them a year ago following a six-month absence from the sport after leaving Italy's AC Milan. FA Cup: Kotoko play NEA Salamina on Wednesday

Kumasi Asante Kotoko and NEA Salamina will lock horns on Wednesday August 16 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium as they clear their outstanding MTN FA Cup quarter final match. The match was postponed as a result of Asante Kotoko’s unfortunate accidents which left most of their players unfit to train or even play the game at the time. Hearts of Oak and Medeama have already qualified to the semi-final stage of the competition after beating second tier Danbort and Amidaus Professionals respectively. Wa All Stars also defeated Berekum Chelsea to book a place in the last four of this year’s edition of the knock out completion. The game is expected to kick off at 15:30pm on Wednesday.

The competition which involves the national teams of all the 16 countries in West Africa will be staged in Cape Coast and Sekondi-Takoradi.
