Two late goals in the 88th minute and the 91st minute from Musa Kone helped Mali to beat Mauritania 3-1 at the day 3 of the ongoing WAFU tournament in Ghana. Mandela Konte gave the Malians the lead in the 29th minute but his goal was canceled 7 minutes later by Samba Cheikh to send the game to a 1-1 scoreline before the end the first half. The second half began with an end to end display from both sides with all country's searching for the winner. Accra Hearts of Oak players resumed training this morning after a 12-day break to start preparations for the end of the league season. The team were given a 12-day break from training after the Ghana Premier League was put on a month break for the WAFU tournament. But the Phobians have now returned to training at their Ajax Park grounds in Legon to prepare for the remaining of the league games. The Phobians still have their eyes on the league title despite a 3-3 stalemate at home with Aduana Stars and are preparing tirelessly to make sure they don;t drop any points from their last four games.
Former Ghana U20 left back David Addy has moved to the Latvian elite league with Riga FC his destination. The 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup winner had spells with FC Porto, Academica, Randers, Vitoria SC among top European Clubs. The tireless player has played in several competitions including the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. David Addy earned his first Black Satellites call-up after an impressive performance with the Local Black Stars in 2008, making his debut in January 2008 in a match against Angola. His success continued in October 2009 where he helped Ghana win the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Egypt.

The two nations lost 2-1 each to their opponents on Sunday at the Cape Coast stadium in Ghana where the competition is taking place. The Black Starlets of Ghana will head to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates for their Pre-World Cup camping in India. The team decided on Abu Dhabi (UAE) after an agreement between the management team of the Starlets and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The young Ghanaian national team were earlier booked to have their training tour in Denmark, where they were expected to engage in series of friendly matches. But will now have to move to the Oil-Rich country for all their necessary preparations for the tournament. Ghana have been housed with host country India, USA, and Colombia in Group A.
