Dr. Kyei confident of better times for Kotoko

Kumasi Asante Kotoko appoints new Board Chairman

Executive Chairman of Asante Kotoko Dr. Kwame Kyei is confident the club will overcome it recent struggles and return to it deserving position.

The Chairman advised the players not to give up in this difficult times but persevere and come out of it triumphantly.

“Things haven’t gone as we wanted it but I haven’t lost hope at all” he stated.

“I am confident that things would  change for the better” said the Chairman as he addressed the players at their camping base in Accra.

Kotoko lost 3-1 to arch rivals Hearts of Oak in the first leg of the 60th Independence Anniversary Cup match on Monday, May 2. Although a non-competitive game, the defeat increased the team’s winless run to eight – seven on the trot in the Premier League.

The loss has however not changed Dr. Kyei’s stance , his Management members are equally hopeful of better times. Operations Manager, Ernest Owusu Ansah reiterated Management’s confidence in the team as he also spoke with the playing body in a meeting on Tuesday.
