Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender Evans Quao is eyeing more regular playing time after featuring against Wassaman last Sunday.
Quao played his first full game for the Porcupine Warriors in the round 16 FA Cup game at the Baba Yara Sport Stadium after a long spell in the treatment room.
The versatile player, having just recovered from an ankle injury, initially made his first appearance this season as a second half substitute in the goalless draw with Aduana Stars.
“I’m thankful to God his healing and getting back, featuring in my first home match of the season” he told the club’s website after the match.
“Walking into the team has been difficult and at the same time not difficult. I have been working hard for it. You won’t get anything if you relax. I’m here today because I saw my situation and worked hard for it” he added.
The defender is looking to continue playing more games for the Reds as he warms himself back into the first team.
