Kumasi Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan believes the playing body have not done enough for the team as players.
The Porcupine Warriors were held to 0-0 draw in the week 11 of the Ghana Premier League game against Ebusua Dwarfs at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The scoreline in the game has resulted in the club sacking their coach Zdravsko Lugarosic after four games without a win.
“They always say the coach but it’s not the fault of the coach. We as players must lift up our game. When you play for Asante Kotoko SC, you know you always have to be more than 100%,” Annan said.
“You can’t go four games without a win as a player for Asante Kotoko SC. it’s our fault, we know we have to work extra because a lot is expected of us so we will take the criticisms.”
The Reds are without a win in their last four games losing against Hearts and Medeama and drawing against Inter Allies and Ebusua Dwarfs.
