Ghana Black Starlets played out a barren draw game with Guinea in their last group game of the African U17 nations cup tournament in Gabon.
The Starlets who are known to be a free scoring side in this tournament could replicate their performance in the previous games as they could not break through the resolute Guinean defense.
Despite failing to keep a 100% record, the results leaves Ghana at the top of the table with 7 points with Guinea with 5 points behind the Starlets.
The Guineans dictated the pace of the game and even came close to scoring in the 13th minute but goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad did very well to deny them.
Edmund Mensah missed a glorious opportunity to put Ghana in front when he failed to connect Faisal Osman’s header into the box in the 83rd minute.
This results means both countries have sealed progression to the next stage of the competition and also booked a place to the World Cup in India.
The Black Starlets will play their next game on Wednesday when they face the second placed team in group B in Port Gentil.
