Great Olympics suffer league defeat in Accra

Aduana Stars handed Accra Great Olympics another defeat in the week 11 Ghana Premier league game played at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The “Ogya” lads took the lead as early as the 11th minute when a failed clearance from Dan Quaye enter his net to put the visitors up by 1 – 0 up.

Despite the a player down after Godfred Saka was given the marching orders by referee Kennedy Padi for a challenge on Douglas Mintah in the 35th minute the Dormaa side continue mounting pressure on Oly in search of the second goal.
Their pressure yielded fruit when Bright Adjei captilised on a blunder from Dan Quaye to Aduana Stars their second goal of the day.
Back from recess, Olympics made changes to the team by introducing coach Godwin Attram into the game.
Striket Abel Manomey pulled one back for the home side 14 minutes into the second half.
They knocking on the doors of Aduana Stars in search of the equaliser but were wasteful.
Aduana has now moved to 2nd position on the table with 21 points after 10 games, and have a game in hand.
