Accra Hearts of Oak progressed to the semi final of the 2017 MTN FA Cup with a narrow 1 – 0 win over second tier side Danbort FC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Second half substitute Patrick Razak won the Phobians a penalty which was perfectly converted by Vincent Atingah.
The division one league side held Hearts to a first half draw game but the deadlock was soon broken in the second half after speedster Razak was fouled in the box.
This is the second time Hearts is winning narrowly in the competition in a similar 1-0 victory over Young Wise in Kasoa in ghe quarter final.
In the game, In form skipper of Hearts was named Man of the Match.
Hearts will now wait to see their next opponent in a later date.
In other venues in the competition, Wa All Stars beat Berekum Chelsea by 2 – 0 at the Malik Jabil stadium in Wa to progressed to the next stage whiles Medeama also eliminated division one league side Amidaus Professionals with a 2 – 1 win at the T&A Park in Tarkwa.
Meanwhile the game between Asante Kotoko and Nea Selamina have been postponed for a later date.
