Injury woes for Asante Kotoko as key duo joins list

Kumasi Asante Kotoko has been hit with yet another injury scare as players Amos Frimpong and Obed Owusu joins the list of injured  players in the team.

Skipper Amos Frimpong and striker Obed Owusu picked up an injury in the early minutes of the season opener against Liberty Professionals on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports stadium.

Coach Lugarosic was forced to make two changes before the end of the first half after both players clashed with a Liberty player which resulted in the injury.

This injury leaves the team in a critical condition after players Evans Quao and Frank Sarfo Gyamfi earlier suffered injuries before the start of the league.

The Porcupine Warriors will be with their skipper and three other players who are all nursing an injury.

Amos Frimpong and Obed Owusu will undergo test today to know the extent of their injuries.

The Reds open their league account with a 2-1 win over Dansoman based club in Kumasi on Sunday.
