Former Ghana President John Mahama has thrown his weight behind Sulley Muntari’s for walking off the pitch after he was racially-abused by a section fans in Pescara’s match against Cagliari on Sunday.
The Ghanaian left the pitch after he was booked for complaining to the referee of a racial chant from the stands.
He took his complaints to referee, Daniele Minelli, who initially ignore before pulling out the yellow card for the former AC Milan.
The move by Muntari has landed him into trouble with the Italian FA who have suspended him for a game.
But the former Ghana President John Mahama in a twitter post has supported the Ghanaian midfielder for his actions.
