The Premier League Board (PLB) has postponed the match day 23 Premier League game between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak which was scheduled for Sunday July 16 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The decision to postpone the match indefinitely follows the tragic accident involving Asante Kotoko on their way to Kumasi after their Match Day 22 league match with Inter Allies in Accra.
Kotoko upon their return to Kumasi after their game against Inter Allies at the El Wak Sports Stadium were involved in an accident at Nkawkaw which left one person dead and many others with serious injuries.
This makes it very difficult for the team to play prompting the Premier League Board (PLB) to postponed the games against their arch rivals inordinately.
A PLB has since dispatched a delegation to visit Kumasi Asante Kotoko in Kumasi to express the Board’s support in this difficult time.
