Kumasi Asante Kotoko ended their winless home run with a 2 – 1 victory over Wa All Stars in the week 19 Ghana premier league game played in Kumasi on Saturday.

Obed Owusu, registered his first goal of the season headed home a Emmanuel Gyamfi’s corner kick to give the Reds a 1 – 0 lead before the end of the first encounter.

However striker Yakubu Mohammed ended All Stars hope of getting into the game when he added the second of the day for the Porcupine Warriors.
Kwaku Asuandzie’s goal in the 78th minute could not harm Kotoko who were bent on ending their winless run at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The victory moves Kotoko from 5th to 4th position with 29 points on the league table with the rest of the matches in week 19 to be played on Sunday.
