Liberty Professionals progressed to the next round of this year’s FA Cup after beating Inter Allies on penalties in the round of 64 tie played at the El Wak Stadium on Saturday.
The Dansoman based side recored a 4- 2 victory over their counterparts after the game had ended in a barren draw.
Misses from Abdul Halik Hudu and Samuel Bekoe ensured the Scientific soccer lads make it to the next stage of the competition after skipper Samuel Sarfo, Gerald Arkson and Papa Arko had all scored.
Liberty are hoping they make it to the finals and eventually win it after they failed to make it to the final in the last edition.
The game also saw black stars coach Kwesi Appiah Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) president Tony Baffoe in attendance.
