The Black Stars B side of Ghana failed to qualify for the CHAN tournament after suffering a 2-1 defeat at home against Burkina Faso.
After playing a 2-2 draw in Ouagadougou in the first leg, The Burkinabes put up a splendid performance to eliminated the two times finalist in a game played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Burkina Faso scored two goals in the second half through Mohammed Sydney Sylla and Herman Nikiema to end the first half 2-0 in their favor.
The Ghanaians came into the second half stronger with the hope of getting back into the game by mounting intense pressure on the Burkinabes and pulled one goal back through Felix Addo.
Ghana kept knocking on the doors of Burkina Faso for the equalizer but the likes of Thomas Abbey, Isaac Twum and Patrick Razak saw most of their opportunities go waste.
This is the second time Ghana has failed to qualify for the CHAN competition after missing out in the last edition in Rwanda after a defeat to Ivory Coast.
