Ghana Coach Avram Grant has called on local club owners to motivate their players well financially to help promote the game in the country.
The former Portsmouth manager asked football administrators to increase the salaries of the players to help them give their best.
According to the coach the poor salary paid to the player has affected the growth of the Ghana league.
He made this revelation on Star FM yesterday evening.
“The local players deserve better, Ghana has so many talents and it will be good if the local players are taken care of.” he said
The Isreali trainer was criticized on many occasions for neglecting the Ghana league for European leagues, He was also questioned as to why he failed to include local players into the Black Stars team for the AFCON competition in Gabon.
