The Ghana Black Starlets began their African U17 Nations Cup tournament on a good account by beating Cameroon by 4 – 0 at the Stade de Port Gentil in Gabon.
Two goals each from skipper Eric Ayiah and Sulley Ibrahim ensured the young Ghanaians beat their Central African opponents this evening.
The Black Starlets showed their intentions of winning the game with a brilliant display which got them three great goals in the first half.
The Cameroonians came back into the second half very strong but the resolute defense of the Ghanaians were too hard to break.
Ayiah sealed the win for Ghana when he scored the fourth goal with a wonderful volley.
Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin’s side would be having their eyes set on qualifying to the next round with another win over host Gabon when they meet.
