Week 26 of the Ghana Premier League return this Wednesday with the biggest game between Accra Hearts of Oak who sit at home to play league leaders Aduana Stars.
The game slated for the Accra Sports Stadium will see the Phobians face the “Ogya” lads in a game classified by the Accra based side as “Operation close the gap”.
Hearts has a chance to end their trophy drought this season and a win in this game could keep them in the title race.
Coach Frank Nuttal’s are among the two teams (WAFA, Aduana) who are in the race for this year’s title and a win on Wednesday is the only hope they have if their to win the title this year.
However Aduana Stars in a bid to end their 7 seven years wait have vowed to silent their Hearts at their own backyard to win the title.
Both teams won their last game prior to this game with Hearts posting a 2-1 victory over their city rivals Great Olympics whiles Aduana Stars beat Inter Allies by 1-0 in Dormaa.
Aduana leads the league with 4 points ahead of Hearts who are on third position and are willing to extend the lead come Wednesday.
In other venues, Hearts rivals Asante Kotoko will travel to face Elmina Sharks at the Nduom stadium in another tricky battle.
Their first meeting in Kumasi ended in a 1-0 win for Kotoko who had to wait till the dying embers of the game to register the goal.
Another league contender WAFA will host relegation threatened Accra Great Olympics at the Sogakope Park as they keep their title hopes alive.
At the El Wak stadium, Inter Allies will face Wa All Stars whiles Medeama face Ebusua Dwarfs in Tarkwa with Liberty hosting Bechem United at Dansoman.
In Obuasi, Ashantigold will face Berekum Chelsea before Bolga All Stars and Tema Youth face off in Tamale.
