Ghana Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan has rescinded his decision of not taking penalties for the Senior National team again.
The former Sunderland forward made this revelation when he was interviewed on Ntional Television GTV.
The Ghanaian skipper said has finally decided return to penalty duties for the National team.
“Yes I had initially stated I was not going to take penalty kicks for Ghana, but I have reflected on it and I have decided to start taking it again,” he said on GTV.
“I know Ghanaians are disappointed because I have missed a couple of penalty kicks in crucial games but as a footballer, that has been the only challenge in my career.”
Asamoah Gyan is willing to break the jinx of missing crucial spot kicks and prove his worht when it come to penalties to Ghanaian.
“For now, I have decided to go back and take penalties for the Black Stars and break that jinx, I wanted to break that jinx in the game against USA but unfortunately it didn’t happen. he said.
