The “Asaase Aban” lads began this season’s Division One league campaign on a high note by posting a 1-0 win over Zein FC in Oda.
Player Ernest Asare scored the only goal of the game for the Asaase Aban lads and the skipper of the side has expressed his joy over the win.
“I am very happy with the results, it hasn’t been easy but we thank God we have been able to record our first win” he said.
“This results will boost our spirit and we hope to continue winning in all our subsequent games”
“Playing away from is not easy but we kept our cool and did what was needed of us” he noted.
Okwahu United hope of ending their stay in the division one after more than a decade of visiting drop.
The club came close to lifting the Ghana FA Cup last season but lost out to Bechem United who beat them by 2-1 in the final.
