Liberty Professionals held Elmina sharks to a 1-1 draw in the week 9 of the Ghana Premier League at the Dr. Ndoum Sports complex on Saturday afternoon.
Sharks, got the opener in the early stages of the game through Benjamin Tweneboah when he received the ball from the wings before slotting the ball past Liberty goalkeeper Emmanuel Anim.
The game settled afterwards with an end to end play from both sides, Liberty Professionals were the team who looked to be getting their equalizer, as they but were wasteful in-front of goal.
Back from recess, the Scientific Soccer lads continued from where they left off in the first half, as they increased the pressure on the home side and they got their reward in the 77th when Ernest Papa Arko got the equalizer.
Liberty Professionals could have grabbed the winner but striker Bernard Arthur’s header hit the cross bar preventing him from putting his side in the lead.
Elmina Sharks once again came close to scoring but Yerful’s long range free-kick was parried away by the opponent’s shot stopper.
