Black Starlets Coach Paa Kwasi Fabin says the youngsters are focused on reaching the world Cup rather than concentrating on bonus issues.
“From day one I made it clear to the boys that at the Under 17 level you focus on the tournament, play well and get a contract outside the country, so fortunately for me they are focusing on the tournament.”
The young Ghanaian stars began this years competition with an opening day clash with Cameroon at the Stade de Franceville in Gabon.
And the former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Lions coach believes the team made up of 21 players are focused on the positives of the tournament and not bonus.
The Black Starlets are in group A with the Host Nation Gabon, Cameroon and Guinea.
Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah confirmed that the US$ 3,000 wining bonus received in the past by the Under-17 has been slashed to US$ 1,000.
