The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) says it is considering its position within the West African Football Union (WAFU). Their comments come after refereeing controversies at the last two regional tournaments. The GFF has submitted complaints to the regional body and the Confederation of African Football over a penalty awarded at the ongoing WAFU Cup of Nations. "we're considering our position in WAFU because with all the resources invested in it - to go out in such manner is not fair," the GFF president Lamin Kabba Bajo told BBC Sport. Senegal international winger Ismaila Sarr says he rejected a move to Spanish giants Barcelona to sign for French side Stade Rennes. The 19-year-old Teranga Lion has secured a four-year contract in a deal worth $20m (£15.2m) as he switched from rivals Metz. The African Cup of Nations will be contested by 24 teams when the next tournament takes place in 2019, says the Confederation of African Football (Caf). Caf's executive committee rubber-stamped the proposal on Thursday at a meeting in the Moroccan capital Rabat. Africa's flagship sporting event has featured 16 teams since 1996. A decision on whether the finals will be moved from January and February to June and July is still awaited. The expansion of the tournament could create problems for Cameroon, which will host the next finals, with the Central African nation's sports minister having to deny reports that preparations were behind schedule this week. Cameroon captain Benjamin Moukandjo has signed a two-year deal with Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning. The forward joins the struggling team, managed by Fabio Capello, after two seasons at French side Lorient FC. "Moukandjo will enhance the team's attacking power and help it to improve results! Welcome Moukandjo," the club said on its website. With one year left on his Lorient contract, Jiangsu Suning paid around US$6.25m for Moukandjo, who is 28. Ghana finally unveiled Coach James Kwesi Appiah as the Black Stars Head Coach today at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) secretariat in Accra. Appiah, who has been contracted for a two-year period, which is renewable, is also assigned to head the Local Black stars team. At the unveiling ceremony, the Vice President of the GFA George Afriyie confirmed that, former Ghanaian international footballer Ibrahim Tanko would be the first assistant coach, whilst Maxwell Konadu, who has been the assistant of the team since 2012 has been demoted to second assistant coach. Alain Troare stunning late free-kick defeated Ghana and sealed third place in the Africa Cup of Nations for Burkina Faso. The Black Stars will travel to Oyem a city in Gabon to face the Congolese side who topped Group C with 7 points. Ghana finished second behind Egypt after losing 1-0 to the Pharaohs in their last Group D game. DR Congo recorded two wins against Morocco and Togo and drew 2-2 with defending champions Ivory Coast whereas Ghana by lone goals against Uganda and Mali before falling to Egypt in their last game. The last time the two sides met at the Nations cup tournaments was in 2013 where they settled for a 2-2 draw scoreline. The winner of the tie will play the winner in the Senegal, Cameroon clash.
