Striker Raphael Dwamena will miss Ghana's 2018 World Cup double header game against Congo after he was excused by coach Kwesi Appiah. The FC Zurich forward failed to secure a move to English Premiership side Brighton and Holve Albion due to a failed medical test. But after passing a new test conducted by his club, the player has now been advice to stay back for further assessment which means he will miss the Black Stars game. Dwamena was scheduled to join his colleagues on Wednesday but has now pull out after a request from his club. Brighton have agreed terms of the move with his Swiss club FC Zurich to sign the Ghana international for an undisclosed fee. The English Premier League newbies are believed to be interested in the Ghana international who has been in top form for both club and country. The English side are said to be interested in the striker who scored 12 goals in 18 appearance for Zurich after joining from Red Bull Salzburg. It is understood Brighton representatives met with the player on Wednesday night in a restaurant in Belgium to finalize the transfer, believed to be worth an initial £13.5m, potentially rising to £16m. Ghanaian forward Raphael Dwamena scored a hat trick as FC Zurich beat Goztepe S.K in their pre-season friendly. Dwamena scored three goals as his side put six past Turkish side Göztepe S.K at the Bolu Atatürk Stadium. The young chap two in the first half before completing his hat - trick in the dying embers of the game to give Zurich the needed win. Ghanian youngster Rafael Dwamena has completed a move to join swiss top flight side FC Zurich the club have confirmed. He joins from Austrian second-tier side SC Austria Lustenau on three-year deal. The 21-year-old had a sterling performance for Lustenau in the Austrian second tier league where he scored 25 goals. His performance earned him a place in the Black Stars 29 man provisional squad for the AFCON but failed to make the final 23 man team.
