The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) says it is considering its position within the West African Football Union (WAFU). Their comments come after refereeing controversies at the last two regional tournaments. The GFF has submitted complaints to the regional body and the Confederation of African Football over a penalty awarded at the ongoing WAFU Cup of Nations. The Ghana Black Stars B side are expected to resume camping on Thursday August 31 2017 as they prepare for the WAFU tournament to be hosted in Ghana in September. Ghana will face Gambia in the preliminary round of the competition which will be staged in the Central Regional capital of Cape Coast and Sekondi-Takoradi from September 9-24. The Scorpions are in Accra as part of preparations for their AFCON qualifying match against Benin this weekend.
