C The father of a 12-year-old boy who has scored three times in two under-16 internationals for Germany has rejected doubts about his son's true age. Cameroon-born Youssoufa Moukoko followed his debut goal against Austria on Monday with a double against the same side in a 2-1 win on Wednesday. He has also scored 13 goals in five games for Borussia Dortmund Under-17s. "Straight after the birth, I registered him at the German embassy in Yaounde," said his father, Joseph. "We have a German birth certificate." According to his official birth certificate, Moukok was born on 20 November, 2004 in Cameroon. Ghana skipper Asamoah Gyan celebrated his 5o goal mark for the Black Stars in their 5-0 win over Ethiopia in Kumasi this evening. Asamoah Gyan before the game against the 1963 AFCON winners had scored 49 goals and needed just a goal to reach 50. Gyan eventually had the goal he has been looking for when he got his name on the score sheet for Ghana after heading home a Thomas Agyapong's cross from the left side of the attack. The former Sunderland striker made his international debut at the age of 18 against Somalia where he scored in the 90th minute. He has since scored many important goals for the Black Stars including 68 seconds goal against Czech Republic in the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Former France international, Willy Sagnol will face the six-member panel tasked to search for a new coach for the Black Stars today. Sagnol made the shortlist of coaches to avail themselves to be interviewed by the GFA. The 40-year old, who played as a right back in his days, was scheduled to arrive in the country yesterday ahead of the interview today. Sagnol is currently unattached, having coached Ligue One side, Bordeaux from 2014-2016.
