Officials for Match day Two (2) of the National Women's League (NWL) have been announced. In the Southern Zone, the match between Holy Royals vs Hasaacas Ladies at the Karela Park will see Gloria Adjei as center referee and Doris Ekem , Ernestina Amakye, Patricia Gura and Susuana Brown as the other match officials. Referee Comfort Atiadey, Francisca Norgbey, Dorcas Kwakye, Cynthia Anuyere, Vivian Aggor will take charge of the match between Immigration Ladies and Sea Lions on Saturday at the Liberty Park. The 2016/2017 National Women’s League (NWL) champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Police Ladies, champions of the maiden Sanford Women’s FA Cup, will clash on Saturday in the Women Super Cup before the beginning of the new season. The Super Cup clash scheduled for the Baba Yara Stadium, will not only give the bragging rights to the winners, but it will also add up to the rivalry between the northern zone and southern zone in women’s football. Until last season when Ampem Darkoa from the northern zone won the title had never left the southern zone.Incidentally, Police Ladies also from southern zone again snatched the Sanford FA Cup title when they played Fabulous Ladies in the final. And northern zone are looking forward for a revenge.Saturday’s game which serves as a curtain raiser

The National Women’s League (NWL) is scheduled to begin on April 15, 2017, according to the Women’s League Board (WLB). The fifth edition of the league will maintain the two-zoned (Northern & Southern) 16-club league. The second season of the Sanford Women’s FA Cup will also be launched on May 17 with the competition set to begin on May 27. Below are the teams to participate in the 2016/17 National Women’s League. Northern Zone - Kumasi Sports Academy, Fabulous Ladies, Ashtown, Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Prison Ladies, Lepo Ladies, Real Upper Ladies and Northern Ladies. Southern Zone - Sea Lions FC, Hasaacas Ladies, Holy Royals, Police Ladies, Immigration Ladies, Soccer intellectuals, Samaria Ladies and Lady strikers. Meanwhile, all Regional Football Associations (RFAs)
