The Ghana Ministry of Youth of Sports (MoYS) has congratulated boxer Isaac Dogboe for his win over Argentine Javier Chacon last night. Dogboe defeated the Argentine in the sixth round to retain his title in a fight held at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra Ghana on Saturday evening. The young Ghanaian boxer displayed a sterling performance to knock out his opponent to win his 17th fight in his career. The Ministry who were impressed with Dogboe's performance took to their Twitter page to congratulate the young boxer for his achievement. Isaac Dogboe trainer optimistic of victory over Argentine

Paul Dogboe, father and trainer of bantamweight contender, Isaac Dogboe, is optimistic that his son would knock out Argentine fighter, Javier Chachon, when they slug it out in a WBO International Super Bantamweight Championship at the Bukom Boxing Arena on July 22. Paul, who admitted that the fight will be tough for Dogboe, said his son cannot afford to lose since it will provide him an opportunity to challenge for a world title. Ghanaian boxer Isaac Dogboe has been crowned winner of the WBO International Super Bantamweight title over Argentine Aristule New Zealand. Dogboe was crowned the new champion after a TKO in the seventh round against Julian Evaristo Aristule on Saturday. Aristule seemed to give Dogboe some trouble in the early rounds but Dogboe kept up an explosive pace and by round seven the Argentine was unable to cope with the relentless attack of the prospect from Ghana. WBO Africa featherweight champion, Isaac Dogboe has indicated his readiness to wrestle the WBC Youth world featherweight title when he comes up against Neil John Tabanao from the Philippines on Friday, August 26.
