Ghana Black Starlets Coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin has blame Algerian referee Mehdi Abid Charef for his sides 2-1 defeat to Mali at the FIFA U17 game played in India on Saturday evening. The quarter final game saw the Young Eagles beat their West African counterparts to progressed to the semi finals of this year's tournament. Speaking after the game, the former Hearts of lions head coach blamed the Algerian referee for a poor display in the game. "Everything went right. We scored a perfect goal but the referee disallowed it, officiating was bad" he  said. This is the third time Mali has beaten the Black Starlets in a year after beating them to win the African youth championship in Gabon in January and 1-0 win in a friendly in UAE prior to the game.

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has named a strong team for this morning's duel between Ghana and Mali at the FIFA U17 World Cup in India. The Quarter final game between the two African nations at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium will see the sides battle for a palce in the semi final of this year's World competition. Defender Abdul Razak Yusif who missed Ghana's two games against India and Niger through injury returns to form a partnership with Gideon Mensah whiles Mohammed Kudus who was dropped to the bench after the USA game returns for this game. The Coach has made four changes to his usual team for this tie in Delhi in India. Ibrahim Sulley, Gabriel Leveh, Edmund Arkoh Mensah and Bismark Owusu Terry replaces Emmanuel Toku, Abdul Yussif, Mohammed Kudus and Aminu Mohammed for this game whiles Isaac Gyamfi maintains his position in the middle for the Starlets. Ghana U17 coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has named his final 21 man squad for the FIFA U17 World Cup tournament in India next month. Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin maintained a host of the players who represented Ghana in the African U17 Championship in Gabon. The likes of skipper Eric Eyiah, goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad, Emmanuel Toku, Najeeb Yakubu, Gabriel Leveh, Ibrahim Sulley and among other players were includeded in the team for the tournament which starts next month. Ghana are housed in Group A with host India, USA and Columbia. India World Cup: Starlets fly to UAE on Wednesday

The Black Starlets of Ghana are expected to jet out of Ghana to Abu Dhabi on Wednesday to prepare for the impending U-17 India World Cup tournament scheduled for India. Twenty Four players are expected to make the trip to the UAE from the current 28 players in camp. The team while on the tour will then be pruned down to 21 by coach Paa Kwesi Fabin after excessive assessment on the players. The young Ghanaians will engage in series of friendlies in the United Arab Emirates as they prepare for the biggest Youth football festival. Ghana were earlier scheduled for a tour in an European country but after a meeting with the Ministry had to settle for Abu Dhabi.

The Ghana delegation made up of the Chairman of Black Starlets Management Committee, Lawyer Kweku Ayiah and Head coach, Paa Kwasi Fabin has left Accra for India to attend the official draw for the FIFA U-17 World Cup on Friday. The delegates are expected to witness the draw and also take part of accommodation inspection, stadium facilities and other necessary arrangements. They will also take part in a workshop for delegates which will brief them about the impending competition which begins in October this year. The Black Starlets made a the World Cup list following a second place finish int the African Championship in Gabon.

Head Coach of the Ghana Black Starlets Paa Kwesi Fabin has named 26 players to begin camping for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup scheduled for India this year. The youngsters will start camping from Monday at the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence in Prapram as they prepare for the World tournament which starts on October 5 and ends on the 28. Head coach of the Ghana Black Starlets Paa Kwesi Fabin has announced the starting line up to face Niger this afternoon in Gabon. Ibrahim Danlad starts again in post for the Black Starlets whiles Rashid Alhassan returns in defense after an injury recovery. Gabriel Leveh, Emmanuel Toku and Eric Ayiah will be leading the Ghanaian attack after maintaining their places. Black Starlets Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin believes the Semi Final Niger game in Gabon this afternoon will be an interesting and a difficult one. Coach Fabin said that he knows his opponents won't be an easy ride after playing them twice prior to the tournament but is optimistic his charges will carry the day after the game. Head coach of the Ghana Black Starlets Paa Kwasi Fabin has called on Ghanaians to continue supporting the team despite a brilliant start in the competition. The Starlets thrashed Cameroon 4-0 in their Group A opener on Sunday and the former Asante Kotoko coach is urging football fans to keep supporting the team. "We need more support both spiritually and physically in order to achieve our main aim of this competition. We believe with the support we can qualify for the World Cup and even win the tournament" he said after the game. Ghana totally outclassed the Cameroonians with some breathtaking football which saw them race into a three-nil at half time. Ghana’s next match is on Wednesday against Gabon in Port Gentil at exactly 5: 30 local time.
